Whitelisting Broke? Solution Here.

Recommended Posts

PLEASE READ THIS AND FOLLOW STEPS PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BUG REPORT FOR WHITELISTING

The scenario this covers is you have been given whitelisting e.g. RPU but it has not passed on the in game permissions. The will fix the majority of issues you are having with your whitelisting.

  1. Ensure that the game is fully closed, do this with task manager to ensure the process is no longer running. It is advisable to also fully close Steam and Discord at this stage.
  2. Open Steam, this must be the desktop application, betas are untested but should work.
  3. Open Discord, this must be the desktop application. The PTB will NOT work. Ensure you also have the appropriate roles for what you are trying to access.
  4. Open FiveM and join the server. You should now have the whitelisting.

Some things to consider:

  • Your whitelisting may still be cached on the server, allow for an automated server restart to reset the cache and to start the retrival process of whitelisting again.
  • Whitelisting may also be cached on the client. Clearing the local cache is a potential solution. (NOTE: If you have slower internet speeds this is not advisable as the server will require you to re-download assets).
  • Try either running both FiveM and Discord at the same permissions level. (Either run BOTH as admin or NEITHER as admin).
  • Ensure no other applications will be causing issues with the detection process.
  • Ensure when discord prompts you with the message "FiveM wants to access your discord" you accept the request.

What we need in your bug report:

Conformation of all of the above options considered and attempted where appropriate.

We will need your Discord User ID. This is around an 18 digit number and is unique to you. (NOTE: This is NOT your user name (name#0000) it is a unique ID. At this point a senior team member will need to check the server is correctly detecting your roles.

Dates and times you have connect is helpful for looking at logs. (A team member may ask you to connect to the server at a specific time to make this process easier on us but will be arranged on an individual basis).
