Bank Robbery

At approximately 10:18am on the 07/08/2025, the City of London Police received an emergency call reporting a suspected bank robbery in progress at Fleeca Bank.
Due to the nature of the report, an Emergency Response Team (ERT) was immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers secured the area and conducted a thorough assessment of the situation.
After speaking with bank staff and conducting an internal check of the premises, it was confirmed that there was no robbery in progress. The report was determined to be a false alarm.
No threats were identified, and no injuries were reported. Officers remained on site for a short period to reassure staff and the public before standing down the response. The origin of the false report is currently under review. Members of the public are reminded to report emergencies responsibly to ensure police resources are used effectively.
