CID Open Day!

On the 07/08/2025, officers from the Metropolitan Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) held a public open day at Vinewood Police Station in London. The event was organised as part of the Met’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and transparency. Members of the public were invited to attend and learn more about the role of local detectives and the day-to-day operations of CID officers. Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to meet detectives, ask questions, and gain insight into how investigations are conducted within their community.

Displays, interactive sessions, and informative presentations were held, covering topics such as crime scene management, evidence gathering, and how serious and organised crime is tackled across London. The open day was well received, with strong attendance from residents of all ages. Events like these are part of the Met’s ongoing efforts to build trust, foster stronger relationships with the community, and encourage public involvement in keeping London safe.
