Today (04/02/2025) at 7:00 pm sharp, UK Counter Terrorism officers, in coordination with a multiagency firearms team, successfully raided two separate buildings, which were identified as operational sites for a suspected terrorist organisation.

During the operation, intelligence reports indicated the presence of explosives within one of the buildings. After tactical teams from the AFO (Armed Officers) and CTSFO took control of both locations, a search revealed three explosive devices and two individuals carrying RDX (a powerful explosive compound) on their persons. Additionally, a large amount of loaded firearms was discovered within the compounds.

Upon discovery of the IEDs and chemical compounds, the Bomb Squad, supported by EXSPO K9 units, conducted thorough searches of the buildings. All active threats were secured, and the explosives were safely defused. As a result of the operation, at least eight individuals have been arrested.

Covert Operations (Covert Ops), which consist of undercover officers operating at three distinct levels — Undercover Foundation Operative, Undercover Advanced Operative, and Counter Terrorism Intelligence Officer — played a critical role during the raid. These officers were strategically positioned around the area, continuously passing crucial intelligence to the Counter Terrorism team to ensure up-to-date situational awareness throughout the operation.

There where public sightings of NPAS 62 (National Police Air Service) and the Dolphin Aircraft what is used to pick up and drop off counter terrorism officers, which were utilised to support the raid. Members of the public reportedly witnessed Counter Terrorism operatives in full tactical uniform with Firearms slinged repelling from the Dolphin Aircraft and landing on / around the targeted buildings, executing the surprise assault.

Due to the ongoing investigation, no further details can be released to the public at this time. This is to ensure the integrity of the case and prevent any interference with the work of other agencies involved. As the investigation progresses, further updates may be provided, but for now, it is essential that all sensitive information remains confidential. In the meantime, the public is urged to remain alert and report any relevant information to the police.
