Early Morning Drugs Raid Carried Out in Westminster

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a coordinated drugs raid was carried out in the Westminster area, involving multiple specialist units of the Metropolitan Police. Officers from the Territorial Support Group (TSG), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and a Dog Support Unit(DSU) were all in attendance during the pre-dawn operation.
The raid, which began shortly after 5:00 a.m., targeted a residential property believed to be linked to ongoing drug supply activity. Officers executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, with TSG officers securing the premises while CID and DSU officers conducted a detailed search and investigation.
Several individuals were detained at the scene, and quantities of Class A and Class B substances were recovered, along with a large sum of cash and suspected stolen property.
A spokesperson for the Met said, “This operation is part of our wider effort to disrupt drug networks operating within the capital. We remain committed to removing harmful substances from our communities and bringing those involved in criminal activity to justice.” No injuries were reported, and enquiries remain ongoing. Witnesses or anyone with information are encouraged to contact the police
