Today, London Fire Brigade (LFB) crews were dispatched to the north of Islington to tackle a large structure fire. The blaze is believed to have been caused by a gas oven malfunction. Fire crews are currently working to bring the fire under control, and further updates from the LFB will be provided as more information becomes available.

The Metropolitan Police attended the scene to assist with crowd control and support public safety. Officers worked to close surrounding roads to prevent further incidents and ensure a safe perimeter around the affected area. The Metropolitan Police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is also on-site and conducting investigations to determine the exact cause of the fire.
