Life Invader Arson Attack: Emergency Services Respond to Major Incident in London
On June 28th 2024, at approximately 08:15PM, a Black Van driven by an unidentified male crashed through the front doors of Life Invader. The suspect exited the vehicle, doused the reception area, entrance and exit aras with petrol, and set the building on fire. Immediate and extensive response was required from the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, and London Ambulance Service.
The Metropolitan Police were first on scene and created a cordon around the building diverting any traffic away from the area. Authorised Firearms Officers arrived shortly after to secure the building and the male inside. London Ambulance Service attached the Hazardous Area Response Team to the incident who assisted London Fire brigade in the retrieval of all casulaties, 6 Casualties were treated at the scene with a range of injuries ranging from minor to critical.
All patients were transported to Royal London. London Fire Brigade worked tirelessly into the night to contain and extinguish to burning building, Working room by room to extinguish the flames. The incident was concluded at 0330am.
