Major RTC Sparks Multi Agency Response
A large RTC was reported to emergency services at around 14:35 on the 15th of October, when units arrived on scene the incident was seen to be involving 3 HGVs carrying logs which had crashed. Unfortunately one of these had rolled over. Additional units were immediately requested to assist with the incident. 1 casualty was transported to hospital with injuries where he is currently being treated.
Statement from Scene Commander (JS-3) TheAshenCaptain: "At 14:35 we received several 999 calls from members of the public about a large RTC on the M25 across both lanes. Members of the Metropolitan police, London Ambulance service and London Fire Brigade were promptly dispatched to the call. When units arived on scene they reported seeing large amount of fire and smoke. LFB quickly deployed into the fire whilst a significant incident was declared by LAS. After the fires had been dealt with the decision was made to launch the London Fire Drone for a quick and efficient casualty rescue. At 15:03 the significant incident was stood down. The cause of the RTC is still under investigation at this time, one person was injured in the collision and taken to hospital."
