Our Adverse Weather Team are out in full force this evening with the severe weather update and heavy fall of snow across the London and surrounding areas. our team have been called out to the A1 where they have come across a few stranded drivers that are stuck in the snow. They have been working tirelessly to help stranded motorists, pushing the cars to get them going again and even towing out of stranded situation with our adverse weather 4X4

Due to the challenging weather conditions and the safety concerns for drivers, National Highways has made the decision to temporarily shut a slip road on the A1 that features a steep incline of 14%. This proactive measure aims to prevent drivers from getting stuck in the snow and potentially causing accidents or traffic congestion. National Highways prioritizes the well-being of road users and will work diligently to monitor the situation, provide necessary updates, and reopen the slip road as soon as it is safe to do so. It is advised for drivers to stay informed about the closure and seek alternative routes to ensure a smooth and safe journey.
