Violent Robbery
The Metropolitan Police received a call reporting a violent robbery that occurred within the Camden area of London. Following the incident, two males, who were believed to be involved in the robbery, failed to stop when signalled by the Metropolitan Police Roads and Traffic Policing Command (RTPC). RTPC units then initiated a pursuit what lasted around 20 minuets.
Upon crossing into the City, officers from the City of London Police (COLP) Roads Traffic Policing Command (RTPC) swiftly intercepted the bike. However, during the attempted stop, the bike collided with a member of the public. This collision resulted in critical injuries to the individual involved, prompting immediate medical attention.
Local LHS ambulances, along with the Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), responded quickly to the scene. The two male suspects, who had sustained injuries during the incident, were both transported to a major trauma hospital for treatment. Their injuries, although serious, are currently being assessed.
City of London Police RTPC Sergeant JBC, along with RTPC Inspector BluelightGuy, attended the scene in response to the incident. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, neither officer was able to provide further details or comment at this time. Both forces are conducting a thorough investigation into the events surrounding the violent robbery, the subsequent fail to stop, and the collision. Updates will be made available as more information is gathered.
The injured member of the public’s condition is being monitored, and efforts are underway to ensure that all necessary support is provided to those affected by this incident.
